MEDays 2010: « The South: Between Crisis and Emergence »
The MEDays Forum 2010 will take place in Tangier from the 10th to the 13th November. The MEDays Forum aims to root itself in its third edition as the Southern forum, with its main focus based on a vision of a North-South-South triangular cooperation rather than on a geographical zone.
The MEDays 3rd edition’s main theme is « The South: Between crises and emergence », centering around experience sharing among the 3As : Africa, Latin America & Asia :
Highlights:
- Emerging countries as key partners of the North for the world’s economic recovery
- The role of emerging countries within these Southern 3 poles to help boost development in the less advanced countries
- The exchange of expertise and know-how and complementarities
- Interregional cooperation and integration as a starting point for a South-South
As in previous years, we welcome this year an exceptionally high-level stakeholder community: Heads of States, Ministers and Governmental officials, representatives from intergovernmental and regional organisations, entrepreneurs and business leaders, experts from think tanks and universities and civil society and NGO players.
Furthermore we expect an audience with diversified backgrounds from the South and the North. To ensure the quality of interactive discussions, we are expanding our communications operations and campaign outreach to experts and decision-makers from Latin America and Asia.
